Hello! Welcome to my corner of the world, I'm Kaylei.

Digital media has presented itself to me in various ways throughout my life, the earliest being photography. I started when I was eleven, being granted the opportunity of assisting my mother's photography business, and the rest was history.

​

Graphic design came along with being elected as a yearbook editor. There I learned the ins and outs of the Adobe Suite and received advanced training through a program at University of the Pacific. I edited three yearbooks and designed two of them, and through word of mouth picked up small jobs designing t-shirts, brochures, and pamphlets along the way.

Videography started when I was seventeen with an intimate documentary that won the Coordinators Award at Yesterday Again Film Festival. That led me to Sonoma State University, where I rose through the ranks of the on-campus studio to become General Manager of Studio Blue. Outside of guiding students through 70+ unique video concepts, I earned the National Jury Award at Campus Movie Fest, Best Cinematography at Santa Rosa Film Festival, and an Honorable Mention at Student World Impact Film Festival, among other recognition.

A standout opportunity during that time was a marketing campaign for The Hydrous, a National Geographic partner, which shaped how I approach digital media marketing to this day.

Those threads eventually led me to my current role as Communications, Marketing, and Events Manager at The Sutter Club in Sacramento, where photography, graphic design, writing, and marketing all finally share the same room. I produce a monthly magazine, manage digital platforms, design hundreds of original assets annually, and oversee all club events from concept to execution.
